Sergio Luyk padece cáncer
Parece imposible, un escalofrío nos recorrió a todos cuando nos enteramos, por el programa Gente de TVE, que Sergio Luyk Torres padece cáncer.
El hijo de Paquita Torres y Clifford Luyk, tiene un tumor cerebral.
Su madre ha declarado que su hijo está luchando contra la enfermedad con todas sus fuerzas. Al joven, se le detectó el mal, tras acudir al médico por sufrir dolores de cabeza. Lo que en principio parecía un tumor benigno, resultó una dolencia más grave.
Sergio, nacido en Madrid, de 36 años, siguió los pasos de su padre, el jugador de baloncesto Clifford Luyk. Formado en las categorías inferiores del Real Madrid, donde jugó en la temporada 98/99, se traslada a vivir y estudiar en Estados Unidos. A su regreso a España juega las 3 primeras temporadas en el Forum Valladolid (1995/98), y termina su carrera deportiva en el Breogan de Lugo (1999/2001). Fue Internacional con la Selección Sub 23 y con la Sub 21.
Sergio estudió Empresariales y un master en Negocios Internacionales. A ello se dedicaba ahora.
Es hermano de la modelo Estefanía Luyk y tiene otro hermano, Alejandro, también baloncestista. Fue novio de la presentadora Paula Vázquez.
Estamos plenamente convencidos que un chico tan fuerte y tan sano como Sergio, saldrá adelante y este trago no será más que un mal recuerdo. ¡Ánimo!

Ante todo mucho ánimo Sergio. Es doblemente escalofriante,porque somos de la misma quinta y porque le conozco personalmente (aunque no seamos amigos íntimos); hace muchos años nos enfrentamos en varios partidos…
Y para la tal Eulalia ortiz, sólo pedirle un favor: y es que se vaya a paseo con su publicidad de zumitos y galletitas. ¡¡Decir que con zumos y galletas se curan el sida o algun cáncer es de tener mucha codicia y ningún escrúpulo!!!.

Hola Sergio, mucho animo, yo tengo una hija que nacio en 1971 igual que tu, pues en 1995 le detectaron un LINFOMA, y no le deban mas de cuatro meses de vida, de esto hace ya 12 años y todavia esta con nosotros, es importante que tu seas optimista. Mi hija tiene tantas ganas de vivir que ni el cancer ha podido con ella.

Mucho animo Sergio;
Soy antiguo conocido y amigo de la familia aunque hace ya unos 4 años que no tengo contacto con ellos.
La ultima vez que lo ví fue en un R.Madrid-Forum en Madrid en 2003 donde aprobeché para saludarlo y me comentó que se dedicaba a unos negocios de bares “para famosillos”.
Fuí muy amigo en la adolescencia de su hermano Alex pues somos los 2 del mismo año (80) y estuvimos jugando juntos en los campus del CB Valladolid, hasta que se marco a USA y perdimos el contacto.
Desde aquí un fuerte abrazo para Sergio y su familia en estos duros momentos y mi mas profundo deseo de una rápida recuperación total.

Soy una aficionada al baloncesto , y recuerdo el paso de Sergio Luyk por el Fórum Valladolid.Yo por aquel entonces era muy joven pero recuerdo la entrega y la ilusión que ponía en todos los partidos.
Por ello desde aquí quiero desearle mucho ánimo y que sepa que mucha gente nos acordamos de él y de todo lo que aportó a nuestro equipo y que se lo queremos devolver en forma de ánimo para él y para su familia.

Aunque sea dificil espero que este chico se recupere del todo y toda la familia salga adelante.
Es una pena que un tio que parece tan majo, deportista, trabajador, y tan discreto, se vea inmerso en este mal momento.
Adelante Sergio, espero de corazon que mas tarde o mas temprano puedas volver a tu pasion, el deporte…!

todavia recuerdo cuando eras un niño y te venias conmigo desde el portil a punta umbria a jugar a baloncesto en bici
recuerdo cuando jugamos la marathon de baloncesto en punta
o la ultima vezx que habpamos en punta

Es verdad. A quien yo más quería en esta vida también era sana, no fumaba, no bebía, estaba delgada, era supersupertrabajadora, era genial en todo. Y se fue.
NO SOPORTO A ESA GENTE QUE DICE QUE SU HIJO/A TIENEN TANTAS GANAS DE VIVIR QUE NI EL CÁNCER PUDO CON ELLOS: ¿QUIERE USTED DECIR QUE SERGIO LUYK, MIS SERES QUERIDOS, MUCHA GENTE QUE SE HA IDO POR EL CÁNCER, MUCHOS DE ELLOS CON HIJOS PEQUEÑOS, PUDIENDO DISFRUTAR AHORA DE LO CONSEGUIDO EN MUCHOS AÑOS DE LUCHA POR SOBREVIVIR Y SACAR A LOS HIJOS PARA DELANTE, NO TIENEN GANAS DE VIVIR?
